Going to bed early
does absolutely no good if you end up waking early. At least that's how it feels this morning. I was sound asleep last night at least an hour earlier than normal. So why did I wake up two hours earlier than normal this morning? I tried to fall back to sleep but was unsuccessful.
I suspect we will never learn the exact cause of the power outage at the Super Bowl. The speculation will just go on and on.
How many of you noticed that "President Lincoln" as portrayed by Daniel Day-Lewis had a pierced ear? Did you care? Should the makers of Gangster Squad have insisted that Emma Stone's brilliant white smile be yellowed because she was a smoker in a time where smokers had yellow teeth?
We know there's bias against homosexuals in CA. So it should be no surprise to find it in Orange County. The Vietnamese American Federation of Southern California is excluding a LGBT group from its upcoming Tet Parade, even though the group has marched in the parades for the last three years. The federation's suggestion was the LGBT group get a permit and have their own parade. Tet only comes once a year, fools.
What do 30 year old female billionaires do for fun? They race drag racers. Lynsi Torres, the woman who will gain complete ownership of In and Out Burgers on her 35th birthday is apparently an avid drag race fan and competitor. Guess that's a great way to relieve the stress of running a fast food empire.
Lady Gaga insists on lavender-scented towels while traveling. When you're that big a star, you get what you want. I have a memory of something involving green M&Ms and a pop diva. Maybe it's a pop diva thing.
Did I just hear an idiot former federal prosecutor turned member of Congress say "we have two borders"? As though the coastlines of the West and East coasts aren't borders? That just restored my lack of faith in the intellect of Congresscritters.
The song "Wild Thing" was a big hit in the 1960s. The frontman of the group that recorded it, The Troggs has just died. I was recalling a resurgence in the popularity of the song when the movie "Major League" came out, and when karaoke was wildly popular. Lots of guys in karaoke bars were belting out the words to "Wild Thing" once they were sufficiently lubricated with alcohol. What I'm really wondering though is, would people sing karaoke as passionately if they were stone cold sober?
A cop tasers an out of control woman and he's vilified for excessive force. A mall cop tasers an out of control woman and people raise money to get him better equipment. Can someone explain that to me?
