Schoolyard Bullies
"Regina George" in Mean Girls
"Biff Tannen" in Back to the Future
"Johnny Lawrence" in the original Karate Kid
"Fred O'Bannon" in Dazed and Confused
"Jack" in Lord of the Flies
"Gunnery Sergeant Hartmann" in Full Metal Jacket
The question is, what does Donald Trump have in common with these six fictional characters from film? All are extreme bullies. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar hit on this in his op-ed piece that Mr. Trump did not take well, and you can read that here Jabbar Op-Ed.
But now Mr. Trump has gone beyond being just a bully. He's a bully who is lying about his bullying as evidenced by his latest attack. He took a pot shot at fellow candidate Carly Fiorina, as shown in this excerpt from the Rolling Stone interview with him:
"When the anchor throws to Carly Fiorina for her reaction to Trump's momentum, Trump's expression sours in schoolboy disgust as the camera bores in on Fiorina. "Look at that face!" he cries. "Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!" The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. "I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not s'posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?"
Then when confronted with the reality of what he'd said, he tried to back away from insulting how the face of Carly Fiorina looks by claiming he was talking about her "persona." In an interview with Fox News Channel's Fox and Friends he said, 'Probably I did say something like that about Carly,' he said. 'I'm talking about persona. I'm not talking about look.' Problem is he went on to say, 'Probably I did say something like that about Carly,' he said. 'I'm talking about persona. I'm not talking about look.
