I'll take what Trump says

On a FB thread regarding voting for third party candidates, even though they have only the proverbial snowball's chance in hell of winning; someone wrote; "I'll take what Trump says over whar (sic) Hillary has done ."

Fair enough.  Let's analyze some of what Trump has said.

Donald Trump criticizing people for taking the Fifth Amendment.  He's been critical of Bill Clinton's adultery.  Yet he himself, during his divorce from his first wife Ivana Trump, Donald Trump took the Fifth Amendment 97 times to avoid self-incrimination.  So it is wrong for anyone else to take the Fifth and indicative of guilt, but when he does it, it is okay.

Donald Trump criticizing the makers of Carrier Air Conditioners for moving production to Mexico.  The Carrier executive says that this is the best way for them to remain competitive.  Now when the issue of the manufacture of Donald Trump's signature clothing lines is raised, production he moved overseas, he claims the same excuse.  It is the only way for him to be competitive.  So being competitive is okay for Trump, but wrong for any other business.

Donald Trump, originally critical of the H1B Visa program now says we need the highly skilled workers because Americans can't do the jobs.  Funny thing is that when he needed minimally skilled workers for his golf courses, rather than hire Americans who applied for the jobs, he sought to import foreign workers.

Donald Trump was highly critical of Americans when a 2012 news item broke saying 50% of Americans don't pay income taxes.   Now we know he was and may still be one of them.

Seems to me that what Donald Trump is saying "it's okay for me, but not for anyone else."  Not the attitude of someone who is interested in public service.
