Lindsay Lohan admits to having suffered miscarriage and other eye-catching headlines

Turns out that the reason Lindsay Lohan missed a couple of episodes of her reality TV show on the OWN network is because she was recovering from a miscarriage.  She did not identify the father.

The two U. S. senators from Nevada got a bit testy with each other during a discussion on the local NBC TV affiliate in Las Vegas.  They were talking about the dispute between a Nevada rancher and his use of public lands managed by the BLM.

Brittney Griner was paid $49,440 by the WNBA and $600,000 for playing in China.  Some are calling the disparity between pay for players in the WNBA versus those who play in the NBA a case of "gender discrimination."  Reporters note:  As long as the WNBA doesn't make money, it can't pay its players the kind of salaries the NBA pays.

A woman doing 30 years for selling a few ounces of meth, a sentence the judge did not wish to impose, is hopeful once again that she might receive clemency from President Obama.  While the use of the power of the pardon has been scarce thus far in the Obama administration, there are signs it is about to increase drastically.

One of the runners who completed the Boston Marathon had a victim of something other than last year's bombings on his mind.  Scott Menzies ran the race in place of his wife, who was killed by a drunk driver while she was on a training run.  Kudos to him for taking on the challenge and for finishing.

In a related story, Meb Keflezighi was the overall winner at the Boston Marathon, finishing in a time of 2:08:37, a personal best for the man who was born in Eritrea.  He is the first American to win the Boston marathon since 1983.

A couple who put up a website to allow the internet to choose the name of their yet to be born baby girl did not go with the winner of the most votes.  They rejected Cthulhu All-Spark in favor of Amelia Savannah Joy.

A rock climber scaling the Yosemite National Park's Cathedral Range with three friends slipped and fell thirty feet, suffering major injuries.  But he was stable and alert throughout his helicopter rescue.

Neil Patrick Harris said "I'm doing something up here, mother-f****r" to a fan in the audience at a Broadway performance of 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' but claims it was all in good-fun.  The woman had just yelled "I love you Neil" at the actor.

In New Jersey, a woman who'd had her dog and television stolen by a man she'd just gone a first date with was overjoyed to be reunited with the pooch.  She got the television back as well.  Reporter's note:  You don't take a stranger into your home on a first date.  Ever.

Quentin Tarantino is going to rewrite the ending of the screenplay "Hateful Eight" due to it having been leaked to the world by Gawker.

The avalanche atop Mount Everest has resulted in the cancellation of "Everest Jump Live" which was to air on the Discovery Channel.  In addition, the Sherpas who make climbing the mountain possible are considering going on strike over the meager compensation the government of Nepal is offering to the families of those Sherpas who were killed in that avalanche.

A New York City taxi driver faces years in prison after he was arrested for allegedly avoiding $28,000 in tolls by tailgating the cars in front of him and getting through before the gate could come down again.

Nevada's two U. S. Senators are launching an investigation into the Phoenix area VA hospital, after reports of veterans dying due to delays in care.  The reports are coming from a Florida congressman.
