Randy Quaid sues bail bonds company and other eye-catchers

Back n 2010, Randy Quaid and his wife were busted twice.  Both times American Surety, a bail bonds company in Indiana posted bonds for them in the amount of $50,000.  Now Quaid is suing them, claiming that he did not authorize the firm to post bond for him or his wife.

At McMillen Park in Fort Wayne, IN, a squirrel got into the electrical system at a park building and caused over $300,000 in damage. 

The WWE will air a tribute to the late James Brian Hellwig, better known as The Ultimate Warrior on the next episode of Monday Night RAW.  Reporter's note:  Will we ever find out if his alleged steroid use played a part in his passing?

On a related note, two top-level officials from the WWE flew out to Arizona to aid the widow of Hellwig.

A waitress at a IHOP restaurant was fired after she refused to return a tip.  The patron wrote $200.00 on the credit card slip and then claimed to have meant to write only $2.00.

As the federal government continues to claim that the 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood by Major Nidal Hasan was not an act of terrorism, the White House denied a victim of that attack the chance to meet with President Obama during his recent visit to Fort Hood.  Retired Staff Sergeant Alonzo Lunsford was shot seven times by Hasan.

Jill Duggar is engaged, hasn't kissed her fiancĂ© yet and wants "as many kids as God will give us."  Maybe she and her intended, Derek Dillard will surpass her parents, who've had 19 kids so far.

In Palm Desert, CA a ten year old boy is once again playing soccer after losing part of his right leg when he was hit by a car.  His family hopes to save up enough to get him a proper prosthetic for the leg that will allow him to bend it at the ankle.

A hospital in Lacross, WI has made its entire building a "No-Hit Zone," which means that no one is allowed to hit anyone else, including parents disciplining children.

Legislators in Tennessee have once again denied a request to release $2 million from the state's $40 million reserve in order to fund the testing of a large number of rape kits.  The same state senator who is pushing to eliminate the statute of limitations in cases of rape.  That would help future victims, but will do nothing to help those women whose kit sits on a shelf somewhere as the clock on their ability to receive justice ticks away.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ has named its new College of Security and Intelligence after a former Navy SEAL who was killed in the assault on the U. S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi.  Glen Doherty was a graduate of Embry-Riddle.

A South Carolina high school senior is breathing a sigh of relief after reading a letter that seemed to be a withdrawal of her acceptance by the University of South Carolina.  The letter turned out to be bogus and was actually an invitation to the prom from her boyfriend.

Herbalife is under investigation by federal authorities according to multiple media sources.

A woman being interviewed about the high crime rate in Rio de Janeiro had her necklace stolen in the middle of the interview.  The reporter chased the thief, who dropped the necklace.  It was returned to the woman.  With the World Cup taking place there starting in June, the crime rate is a major concern.

The owner of a beauty store in Houston accused a black couple of shoplifting and the man was strip-searched.  He did not have the earrings he was accused of taking.  The shop's owner said "You steal.  You people always steal."  The couple wants "more than an apology" from the store and want police to pursue unlawful search charges against the store's owner.

God is suing a credit reporting agency.  That's God Gazarov of Brooklyn, who says Equifax refuses to recognize his first name as legitimate.

According to Voice of Russia, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitri Rogozin is saying that Russia plans to annex the moon.  Rogozin says they will establish a permanent base on the moon.

In Italy, a man is going to jail for six months for the "extremely loud sex" he and his girlfriend were having in their condo.
