Teflon Don's son stabbed and other eye-catching headlines

Police say that John A. "Junior" Gotti is refusing to cooperate with an investigation into his stabbing in the parking lot of a CVS store in Syosset in Nassau County, NY.  His famous father died over a decade ago while serving a life sentence for murder.  Junior's condition and location are unknown.

One of the Newtown police officers who responded to the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary school may lose his job because he is suffering from PTSD and Newtown can no longer afford to pay his salary.

A mother in Washington is suing the state after her son died of a food allergy while serving time for a minor marijuana possession offense.  Ironically, pot became legal in Washington not long after his death.

The mother of an infant labeled a "loser" by a nurse because the parents had decided not to immunize the infant filed a complaint with the hospital where the alleged incident took place.  She claims the nurse left a note behind.  The nurse has been suspended while the hospital investigates.

The seller of a desk on Craigslist is very lucky that she sold it to an honest man.  The buyer, a rabbi, found $98,000 in cash stuffed in the back of the desk and returned it.  The woman had stuffed her inheritance in the desk and then forgotten where she'd hidden it.

In Carmichael, CA a woman died four days after her hospice care nurse stopped visiting and her family wants to ensure it doesn't happen to anyone else's loved one.  The hospice center says the nurse didn't feel safe in the neighborhood and they have to put the safety of their employees above all else.

The son of U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe has died in a plane crash.

Batman is going to jail.  Batman bin Suparman (translates to Batman, son of Suparman) that is.  He's a 23 year old resident of Singapore who legally changed his name to become a comic book superhero.  Unfortunately, he got caught stealing, housebreaking and using heroin.

Perhaps someone should let Rebecca Romjin-Stamos know that you can make an appointment to change your name at the DMV.  She said she was too lazy to stand in line during an interview while she was a guest on Conan O'Brien's talk show.
